Trixie
Trixie spent the first two years of her life living on a farm in Stevensville. At the age of 2, when her elderly owner could no longer care for her, she came to live with Rosemary, one of our RVT’s. Trixie took a while to adapt to “city” life, but is a very sweet, resilient dog who absolutely adores every person that she meets. She enjoys an active lifestyle, and can often be spotted on walks about Fort Erie. As a young dog, Trixie participated in Agility with her K9 Pal Siren. Due to being a bit dog reactive, she spent her younger years hiking, canoeing and hanging out with her human pals. She has mellowed in her senior years, and has participated in many dog sports, including Ruff Mudder (which is a 5 km obstacle course for dogs and their humans), Rally Obedience, Canicross, and even aided her K9 teammates in winning a silver medal in the “K9 Olympics” at her dog training class. Every week, she makes a pilgrimage back to her birthplace of Stevensville to reconnect with country life on her friend’s farm, where she enjoys hanging out with the pig and the chickens. Trixie can always be counted on to have a spring in her step and a sparkle in her eye, and is an eager participant in many Borderview photoshoots, so follow us on facebook to keep up on her shenanigans. She also made her film debut in our National Cupcake Day video with her pals, Stella and Ripley. Trixie is definitely a crowd favourite here at Borderview.
