Apple and Dandelion

Apple and Dandelion are a type of chicken know as a Silkie. They came from a farm in Port Colborne where they were hatched out when they were just a few days old. They live on a farm with Stephanie and her family with many other types of chickens in their hen house. Both of them are female chickens, known as hens and are about a year old. Apple, the darker one, was named by Stephanie’s youngest son and is a Patridge Silkie. Dandelion, the white hen, was named by Rosemary and is a white Silkie. They are known for their fluffy feathers, especially around their feet and head. They lay small eggs every few days and are both very sweet chickens.
